Here's the rest of the article...

That's the moral of the story," said Moss, lingering dangerously close to the pile of doughnuts set out for the crew filming at Pay-Less Meats on the Downtown Eastside."If you mess with evil forces it seems you cannot escape from that unscathed."

Madison was forced to finish negotiations with Jason's widow Charlotte.

"I was really surprised, because he was really excited about the project," Madison said.

Negotiations were delayed, but Charlotte was supportive and the deal got done.

For Madison it was an unexpected bump in a very long road.

"I've had an interest in criminal psychology my whole life and I studied it when I was at college," said Moss. "I had read The Last Victim when I was quite young and it stuck with me."

Jason Moss as a young student struck up a relationship with Gacy while he was in prison awaiting execution. He wrote the book about his experience.

"Most people who know about John Wayne Gacy, know about his crimes in the '70s," Madison said. "Not many people know this story."

"I find it intriguing that so many years after his crimes, he was still able to affect someone's life," she said. "Jason Moss sought out Gacy to manipulate him and they ended up manipulating each other."

Gacy, it seems, got the better of Moss in the end.

As an actress transitioning to a behind-the-camera career -- she is also an executive producer of the film -- Madison keeps a close eye on production as William Forsythe practises a scene in the butcher shop in one of the city's grittiest neighbourhoods. The crew also spent several days shooting at Riverview, which stood in for Gacy's prison home.

Producer Clark Peterson returns to the dark side after a huge success as producer of Charlize Theron's breakout film Monster about the life of serial killer Aileen Wournos.
